Halloween prep

We're getting ready for Halloween over here.

A couple nights ago Spencer and I were watching the new walking dead episode on project free tv the day after its airing (because we don't have a tv, and probably won't be getting one, or cable, for a while), and after being entertained with lots of zombies (who's voices sound like chain saws this year) and lots and lots of zombie blood and a suicide and new viruses and dead pigs and bleeding from eyeballs and such, we were sitting in our house with slightly tensed nerves when loud knocking happened upon our door.  We were pretty scared, as we should have been. I made Spencer get it, but there was no one there!
Alas, someone had left a plate full of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies on our doorstep. We got BOO-ed! I felt so mormon. In a good way. ?

Anyways, I'm pretty sure a curse has fallen upon us because we haven't forwarded the boo yet to anyone else. But we did put up the ghost- our only decoration - to keep away any boo-ers in the future. And to help spread the Halloween cheer to other people in the neighborhood.

But wait- there's more! Last night we hung out with Alex and Amanda and ended up carving pumpkins. Can you tell who's is who's?

Our pumpkins will probably rot well before Halloween. No one else in the city have carved theirs yet, but that's okay.

Oh, and we stocked up on Halloween candy to pass out this year as well. Hopefully we'll still have some by the time Halloween rolls around. We have a lot of kids in our neighborhood.
